Cooper......

My second great grandson is Cooper. He is the sweetest baby, by that I mean that he has such a lovely personality. At least right now he does. He is so easy. I love watching him because he is always smiling. He finds me funny because he beams ear to ear whenever he sees me.

His mother is Gabrielle. (my daughter Laura's 3rd child). She was a quiet baby too. You appreciate the quiet ones after the squawky screeching ones. cant remember if Danielle or Alexandra were quiet or not but Gabrielle was certainly so. Tristen was not a bad baby either but not so quiet not then and certainly not now.

Cooper is not quite sitting up yet. He is rolling over though. They grow so quickly. I can't believe that Tristen is going to be 4 in just over a week. Tristen is a little jealous and a little intrigued with Cooper. He really wants to play with him but is not at all sure he wants me holding him. It makes him want to be the baby. Funny that, that's how Alexandra felt about Gabby.

Tristen wanted to hold Cooper, and waited patiently till he was done with his bottle. Well sort of patiently

Finally Cooper got done, he takes his meal times seriously.

Tristen went and put on his footy jammies, I think so he could be like Cooper. How sweet.

He gave him a kiss but wanted Granddad to take him back as he was getting heavy.

I wonder what the two of them will be like together as they grow up. Sigh..........I now hope I will be around to see some of it. I never used to care about dying, now I don't want to miss anything haha.

Welcome Cooper.....

A warm welcome to my new Great Grandson Cooper Daniel. He was born Friday and weighed 8lb 14oz. My granddaughter Gabrielle is the new mother. She was living with me up until a couple of days before he was born. Now she is living with her boyfriend Tony who is Coopers Daddy.
It's tiring work being born.

Gabby ended up having a C section as she was not able to dilate quick enough for Cooper who wanted out of there. He is a lovely baby, not squished and bruised. One good thing about a C section baby.

He has peachy gold hair. When Gabrielle was born she did too. In fact we said we now had a blond (Danielle)a brunette (Alexandra) and a red head (Gabrielle) .....well her hair did not stay that colour but its so pretty while it lasts.

Here I am holding Cooper. My 2nd Great grandson. As you know I am raising number one, Tristen who is 3. They will be quite close I think, as a good closeness in age. Reina and Tristen are 4 years apart and they are great together so I am hoping that the 3 of them will be close all their lives.

Tristen............

Photobucket

This is my great grandson Tristen enjoying his breakfast. Today its scrambled eggs with a slice of toast and butter, applejacks and his juice. He is watching his "show" Behind him is is blankie, and his two prize balloons. Right now he is obsessed with balloons, one came from his auntie Emily's birthday party.
Tristen is the center of my world right now. His mother died in February you will see her in this blog, I still miss Alexandra. She would just love to see how her "little man" has grown. He is so full of himself. He will be 2 in September and they are just so primitive at that age. If they want it they want it now, if they want to do it they just go ahead and do it. They are exploring the boundaries and pushing them. Pushing us. Seeing how far they can go. They can go from a smiling charming toddler to a whirling dirvish in a matter of seconds. I am enjoying every moment.
