The sky was beautiful yesterday morning. I couldn't be bothered to get out of bed to take a picture. We did go for a drive later because the weather man said snow today. He was not wrong. We had some squalls. That's OK we got some shrubs transplanted and they need the moisture to settle in. We took back roads again and saw these ladies taking a walk.
We stopped first at Veronica Valley. It may have been sunny but was bloody cold. I had hoped the Heron were back but they were not. There were birds nattering all over but just too cold. Saw a couple of baby turtles and this one watching me
Can't wait to explore more in a couple of weeks.
So off we go towards Northport taking back roads to Peterson Park
It was windy and Gerry didn't want to go down to the beach so we left that for another day
We will never run out of places to go.......we didn't see much in the way of wildlife but there's always cows and domesticated folks
Roadside gold
We headed back towards home via Port Oneida and Narada Lake. The Sandhills were all at the back fields but we saw the Canadians with babies and a stray Turkey girl.
The beach was still closed but I got a shot of it through the trees, and then had Gerry take me up to the top trail through the back dirt road to look down on the Sandhills and Geese.
We always hope to see the Beaver at work but unless we get waders that's not likely. Maybe we should invest in some,we could also go in the water at the beach to look for stones haha. I got a new lovie from Tom's in Northport to travel with us.
Gerry still had a headache so we headed home. At least we got out. I want to go to Leland and some beaches next week to get me some rocks......between gardening that is. Hope it warms up just a little bit.

Sorry to read that Gerry still had a headache when you got home. That's been me all morning today, too. Not fun but starting to lift. Love that you got the scrubs transplanted. Here's to more fun!
