Beautiful colours.......................

Thursday came bright and clear and we headed out on our adventure. Tristen wanted to go back to the beach where we went last time. He was home from school with a cough/cold but I figured the fresh air and sunshine would be better than being in his room on his X-box. So off we went.
Just look at all that blue............well he ran through the woods and up and down the beach. He has a "fort" on the beach I think and wants us to always go this far up so that there is never anyone here. Well I agree with that for sure. After we had enough we went and looked for frogs. It was rather cold and I didn't see any. I DID see the Beaver though. I crept up as quiet as I could but lost sight of him. I did find his handywork though
ON the way I missed a great shot of a red tailed hawk, but instead took a picture of this pretty barn
more on the beach
we headed to Narada Lake but no eagles today. Just some noisy Red Wing Blackbirds and some turtles
On the way home we stopped in Empire to see if any deer were about but no luck. The beach was quiet and Tristen went for a walk/climb'
How calm the water was. On the way home on 72 I took some pictures of the moon above us in the clear sky and then down the hill into town.
I took loads of pictures these are but a few of them. WE always have fun, I ask him if he likes to go out like this and he always says yes, so as long as us old folks are not boring him to death, he gets to see wildlife and gets some exercize. I hope it will instill in him a love of the outdoors.

So nice to see the old haunts even if through pictures.

Fantastic photos! I had a photo of a tree on my blog recently where a beaver had been at it. I looked up info on beavers and I learned that they actually EAT that wood, the inner bark of it anyway. I always love learning new things, now if only I could remember them.
We just took a photo of a turtle at the lake today, ours was a baby turtle, about the size of a tennis ball! :-)
