This is the view down the road yesterday.
And the other direction
A few icicles
The blue blue sky.....and my pines look like they have icing on them.
The kitty footprints on the porch are ankle deep..........
Then the snow on the front path.
So we went for my eye appointment. It was still snowing. Here are a few pictures. Lucky me thats its not very far to go. One guy had a two hour trip in this stuff
One guy was coming down the hill sideways but he stopped at the light sideways on, but he did stop. Then there were several trucks moving out the snow from the hospital car parks.we saw 3....
The plants at the eye doctor were looking pretty against the falling snow.
This is the guy who ended up going sideways. Little did he know that he would end up sideways at the light.........he thought he would be in the ditch haha. There were a few of those.
Ah well, just one day in Northern Michigan.........Look at the bird feeder, you can see the snow is up to the fences so the poodles wont be out there for awhile. Hope for January thaw maybe.
......and there is a lot more snow coming and it's going to get colder too. Should be below zero's next week. Ahhhhhh cant wait. Sigh!!!!

Looks like the wonders of fairyland have come your way. Magic the way snow transforms a landscape.
I am absolutely envious while sweltering at 38C. I miss the definite distinction between seasons and a bit of hibernations and comfort foods in winter.
Have a Happy and Healthy New Year!
I grew up on Lake Erie in Ohio and when I was little we always had winters like this, or so it seemed.
We had a couple wonderful snow storms recently but it warmed up again and every bit of snow and ice is gone now. Today is rather mild with a cloudless blue sky- very beautiful.
But I really LIKE winter and snow, so I say bring it on! Perhaps you can send some down here in middle Ohio to me.
Hope your eye appointment went alright? Your eyes sure are seeing lovely things to snap - pics are gorgeous!
Hope the eye appointment went well. The snowy pictures are beautiful,we are paddling in the UK at the moment.Lots of rain storms going on.x
Very pretty to look at but cold to touch, that's a lot of snow.
Merle...........
Oh dear, the only one who would be happy with that much snow is the Corgi! You have not seen anything until you spot a Corgi making snow angels...
Foggy here, a promise of 42 degrees F for the day, and mud everywhere...
Keep warm Dear and watch the poodles!
P.S. I bet Tristen loves it out there!
You've got alot of snow like us! Well, we had the ice first, which I hate! I'd rather have just snow! I still love winter! There is just something so peaceful and calming about it! And, I find it very magical too! The only part that is bad, is the driving in it. But, if you take it easy, you shouldn't have that much problems! I love your photos so much! Glad your eye appointment went well ;o) Happy New Year ;o)
Janice, you probably laughed to yourself when I talked about snow, LOL! Ours is all gone now thanks to a warm-up and some rain. Your snow sure does look pretty, though.
Hope all went well with your appointment.

Love all of your snow pictures. Especially that rocking chair! We still have snow on the ground, but It's melted a little this past week. Temps have been quite nice lately. It sure looks cold there, but what lovely photos is makes!
