Tristen came to visit on Saturday for the afternoon. They were camping out at Turtle Lake campground and Laura wanted him back so he could go out Kayaking. That limited us as to what we could do but no matter we can always find things to do and Kayaking would be much more fun. Cooper was out there with them for the day and so he would have him to play with as well. Pretty soon he will have grown away from us old geezers haha. So we tried to think what we could do. We decided on a leisurely ride and go up the drive up dunes. We stopped at Davis Lake on the way because we have not been there in ages
Saw a few critters and Tristen had some fun with my phone camera.
So my phone helps keep Tristen occupied while in the car, he found that app with space aliens and had fun with that. Meanwhile we headed for the Stocking drive up. There were way too many people. I should know better than going on a Saturday. Ah well. It was pretty even though we didn't stop at any of the views.
Such a beautiful day, I don't blame the tourists for taking in the scenes. We can go all year round and its not so bad during the week.
When we were done we just headed to Glen Arbor and stopped at Wildflowers. I had seen a garden ornament that I wanted last time and this time I didn't resist as there was only one left.
I got the copper tea pot and a mushroom and flowers for Alex.
We came home after getting an ice cream, we always want to make his days special and why not. Have to say that I wont stop at that particular place as two milk shakes and a cone was 20 dollars and they were not big either. So we came home to get sorted out and I had Tristen choose a plant for Alex so we went next to the grave to tidy and place flowers.
We have been taking Tristen to visit his mum since he was a baby. The red ones and Mushrooms were ours. Someone planted a pink Geranium and the blue butterfly is from Tammy.
We hardly had time to be done and get out to the campground where Tristen was eager to show Cooper his creations via my phone haha. He said he wanted to "freak him out" Cooper is 6 haha......
so off they went to enjoy the campground and go Kayaking. A full and fun day.

I love your adventures with Tristan
A great day with Tristan!! Big Hugs!
You are so lucky having your grandchildren visit you. I wish mine were close. Enjoy every minute with Tristan and Cooper as they will soon grow up and it wont be "cool" to hangout with Grandma Grandpa. Hope the boys enjoyed their kayaking .
